Creating a Special Touch
‍The Emergency Response Competition, hosted by Bluestone Mines at Renison Bell and coordinated by the Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing and Energy Council  celebrates the incredible skills and teamwork within Tasmania’s resources sector.

‍This year, competitors will take home custom 3D-printed trophies –modelled on a real person, giving the awards a unique and personal story behind them.

These one-of-a-kind trophies were brought to life by Kade, our Mechanical Designer Trainee, who turned digital concepts into tangible pieces of workmanship using 3D printing technology.

We’re so thrilled to see Kade’s creativity and technical skills showcased for such a unique project.

Wireless Hand Scanner August 2025
Wireless Hand Scanner
Nick and Raj have been putting our new wireless Hand Scanner through its paces — and the results are impressive.

With three versatile scanning modes, the scanner can handle objects from just 0.1m to over 10m in size. Its infrared and laser scanning options allow for accurate data capture across a wide range of materials, whether we're working indoors or outdoors in direct sunlight.

Captured data is seamlessly imported into our EXModel software, enabling the creation of highly accurate digital CAD models for use in our design workflows.

Great work, Nick and Raj — and another exciting step forward for AMG’s advanced scanning capabilities.

Innovation Meets Precision at Advanced Manufacturing Group.
At Advanced Manufacturing Group, we’re redefining what’s possible in industrial design and infrastructure planning — and tools like the Terrestrial Laser Scanner are at the heart of it.

With millimetre accuracy and rapid 3D capture capabilities, this scanner helps us visualise complex environments in real time — turning terrain, buildings, and infrastructure into rich digital models ready for design, analysis and action.

Whether it’s laying the groundwork for sustainable manufacturing solutions or ensuring safety and accuracy in large-scale projects, we use tech not for the sake of tech — but to solve real problems, efficiently and collaboratively.

At AMG, we believe in technology that works with people, not instead of them. This is how we stay grounded in purpose, guided by data, and driven by people.
